Web Site Security Management
Web Site Security: Internet and Intranet Management and Policies is the first course in a two-part series. This course will give students the skills and knowledge needed to identify and counter some fundamental security risks and requirements. Students will learn some basic network security skills pertaining to network threat identification and prevention. They will also examine Internet security threats and measures (audit trails, IP sniffing/spoofing, etc.), and learn how to implement security policies and procedures.
Web Site Security Messaging
This course is the second course in a two-part series on Web Site Security. This course will give students the skills and knowledge to identify and prevent more tactical security risks and measures. Students will learn how to implement message security via Pretty Good Privacy (PGP), a de facto messaging security standard. They will also learn how to identify and minimize security risks associated with Java, CGI scripts, and HTTP servers. Finally students will receive a detailed overview of Internet-transmitted viruses, virus prevention, and antivirus programs.
JavaScript Creating DB Solutions Pt 1
This is the first part of a two-part series that will teach Web developers how to install and develop an Internet-based database application using the Netscape Enterprise Server 3.5, a relational database, and the ServerSide JavaScript programming language. This course covers installation and setup of the Enterprise Server and a relational database, SQL basics, and JavaScript basics.
JavaScript Creating DB Solutions Pt 2
This is the second part of a two-part series that will teach Web developers how to install and develop an Internet-based database application using Netscape Enterprise Server 3.5, a relational database, and the ServerSide JavaScript programming language. This course covers creating a database application which includes updatable database cursors and binary large objects.
CORBA Fundamentals
This course is the first in a two-part series on Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA). CORBA is an object-oriented technology that implements the Internet Inter-operability ORB Protocol (IIOP), which can be used to connect distributed objects across the Internet and intranets. It provides applications with interoperability across networks, languages, component boundaries, and operating systems. This course will help to enable the learner to use the Interface Definition Language (IDL) and identify the key parts of CORBA and its relationship to the object-oriented language, architecture, and the Internet.
